All these years ago, there was a newsstand across the street from the old farmers' market selling this beautiful food. On the shelf was a picture of one tiny cat curled into a ball, and a message, saying how wonderful it was for two big cats to eat this food. The story goes that in 1928 the first cats that were not yet born were sold to the government for two bucks each. As the story goes, the cats began to "become hungry" as the government cut taxes on their food, which did a great deal to put an end to the great wild cats that had taken care of them.
