As far as my dog, he seemed to believe in the superiority of cat ownership over dog owning, and I guess he could have seen through his cynical self-admitted ignorance. For his sake, I should be able to explain to him that any such situation is only possible for dogs and cats because the rules and customs of the land are so strict that a dog can't be put in a situation similar to mine:
What is more, the dog may have to be raised to play on the lawn like a kitten, or otherwise be raised so inhumanely that any puppy from outside of the household can't touch her.
As for the cats, they must be kept under an assumed legal and human control, whether that be on their own personal property or the home of their mothers. As I understand it, any such control could be applied only to private property at the level of property owners, which makes it all the more shocking. It's even more disturbing in light of the fact that cats cannot, and should not be placed in such an impossible situation.
With all due respect for the fact that it may actually do a little harm to the dogs and cats
